About Macedonia

Macedonia, officially North Macedonia, is a country defined by mountainous terrain, ancient ruins, and freshwater lakes.

The capital, Skopje, features a mix of Soviet-era concrete and Ottoman bazaars, with the Stone Bridge spanning the Vardar River. Outside the city, the Šar Mountains offer hiking trails and traditional villages. Winter brings snow to higher elevations, while summers remain dry and hot, especially around Lake Ohrid.
